Schools closed on Friday for a short holiday break and this weekend our Social Workers gathered for CPD (Continuous Professional Development) training. The theme was BWRT (Brain Working Recursive Therapy).

“The training was very interesting and so informative. I learnt so much in such a sort space of time. This might be the most valuable training that I have ever had. I feel equipped and ready to go and apply the training at school.”

“I am honored to be among the first social workers to receive BWRT training. What we learnt this weekend is going to be a game-changer in supporting our clients in overcoming challenges from anxiety to trauma and even grief just to name a few!”

“Rafiq came and changed our outlook on therapy completely. Usually we help our clients to manage their emotions, but with this therapy, we can actually take away some of the intense feelings that they are experiencing, and replace it with preferred and positive future memories, which will have a huge positive impact on our clients functioning. I am so excited to start making use of BWRT in the therapy room!”

“I’m not exaggerating when I say this past weekend’s training was life changing. To be the first group of social workers trained in BWRT is not only a privilege, but also a responsibility. BWRT has opened the door to an entire world of possibilities for therapy. It is groundbreaking in terms of trauma intervention because of how effective and time efficient it is. The focus shifts from just _managing_ symptoms to actually changing neural pathways in the brain, leading to new ways of thinking, feeling and behaving. We were able to watch recordings of real-life BWRT sessions, and it was absolutely incredible to witness the immediate results and improvement in the quality of life of the patients. I know I’m speaking on behalf of all of us who attended the training when I say we cannot wait to start applying this in practice.”
