We are serious about attracting and retaining outstanding talent.

All vacancies are shared on social media so please follow our pages.  In line with our Employment Equity goals and plan, preference will be given to suitable applicants from designated groups.  Given the nature of our work, all candidates are reference checked and require police clearance.  As a general rule, once 2 months have passed you can assume that the vacancy has been filled or readvertised.  Due to the volume of applications, only candidates that have been selected to attend an interview will be contacted.

We use the following terminology:

Care Facilitator – these are members of the local community, who we train in Mental Health First Aid to offer frontline support, based at a school. Minimum requirement is grade 12 or equivalent.

Care Practitioner – qualified specialists who are either a registered counsellor, psychologist or social worker and are registered with the HPCSA or SACSSP.

Our support teams work from our head office in Ida’s Valley (Stellenbosch) or in Mamelodi (outside Pretoria).  They manage logistics, human resources, finance, community liaison, funding, quality assurance and M&E.

* Candidates interested in the role of Care Facilitator will first receive free Mental Health First Aid training and will then be eligible to apply for a post.  This means that we first train, and then recruit.  If you are not successful, you walk away with a valuable qualification and experience.  The most important requirements are to have a heart for the community, to speak the language of the community and to live in the community.  The minimum qualification is a grade 12, or equivalent;  previous work experience in a school setting will give you an added advantage, but is not required.  Social Auxiliary Workers are welcome to apply for these posts.
