Community Keepers delivers psycho-social services to primary and high school learners in the Cape Winelands and Cape Town. We are looking to fill several positions and are accepting applications from qualified social auxiliary workers AND unemployed young people from the communities we serve.
Successful candidates will receive training as Care Facilitators in Primary and High Schools. Community Keepers deliver a variety of services to learners including assessments, counselling, therapy, life skills programmes, parenting workshops and more.
Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Administration of all services delivered at the school
- Act as first contact for those who consult the Community Keepers office
- Maintaining relationships with learners, educators and parents
- Assist with life skills programmes for learners, educators and parents
- Gather information for Community Keepers processes
- Distribute resources

Requirements:
- Grade 12 senior certificate or equivalent qualification
(Qualification and registration with the SACSSP as a Social Auxiliary Worker will be beneficial, but is not compulsory)

The successful candidate must be from and currently living in or near the identified communities we serve, as mentioned below.
- No experience required.
- Good administrative skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word,
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and, -or Afrikaans.
- Natural ability to build strategic relationships and interact with individuals of different backgrounds.
- Passion for teamwork and community-based interventions.
- Capability to represent the values and ethos of the organization.
The successful candidates will be based at a Community Keepers office at a High School or Primary School in the Stellenbosch, Eerste River, Kraaifontein and Tygerhof area (Stellenbosch and Cape Town, Western Cape).
The starting date for this position is within the third school term of 2022.
